The management of the company led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Awuah-Darko had discussions with the workers with the aimed of finding solutions to revamp the company. A close sources at TOR explained to Daily Express that initially management decided to spread the 20% for a maximum of four months (5% per a month), however, the workers proposed 20% to be taken from their November salaries. Philippe Saeys, Brussels Airlines Vice President in charge sale in Africa said the economy they enjoy here in Ghana is much better than other economies in Africa. “Ghana is doing quite well in terms of airline traffic. If you take a critically look at Ghana five or ten years ago, you will agree with me that Accra has change and there is a huge difference,” said Saeys. Penplusbytes, in partnership with STEMbees have started the training of girls in the use of Information communications technology (ICT) at the ultra-modern New Media Hub facility in Accra as part of efforts to support the promotion of ICT among girls and young females. The training programme is a roll out on the Memorandum of Understanding   (MoU) signed between Penplusbytes, STEMbees and the South Labone Girls Vocational Training Centre in June this year. Ten Metropolitan and Municipal Assemblies (MMAs) in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area gathered to celebrate the results of 100-day action plans to improve sanitation in their respective assemblies. Results include: 9 drains built; 6 beaches cleaned; behavior change in targeted communities; hygiene promotion in markets including awards for cleanest market stalls; micro-finance mechanism set up for families to build household toilets.
