FAKS to assess performance of CEOs of SOEs

FAKS Investigative Services, a Ghanaian research and background investigations company is currently conducting assessment on the performance of the Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in the country.

This is taking place alongside the annual survey on the performance of Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Regional Ministers and as well as the Members Parliament.

FAKS will take into consideration the performance of the CEO and his/her agency contribution to the economy.

At the end of the assessment, FAKS will announce the Best CEO of SOEs for 2015 in all the public agencies.

Also, for the first time FAKS will nominate the Best Party Administrator in Convention People’s Party (CPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC), New Patriotic Party (NPP), Progressive People Party (PPP), Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), People’s National Convention (PNC), National Democratic Party (NDP), National Convention Party (NCP), Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Democratic People's Party (DPP) and other political parties as well.

This is to recognize the role these personalities played and the contribution they made to the development of the country in 2015.

Vodafone sells 45% shares in Verizon for US$130 billion

Vodafone has sold its 45% stake in Verizon Wireless to US telecoms group Verizon Communications in one of the biggest deals in corporate history. The US$130 billion (£84bn) deal was announced by Vodafone after the close of trading on the London Stock Exchange. Shortage of weighing cards hit major hospitals in Accra

Checks by this paper revealed that while some of the hospitals have being encountering the shortage for about a year now, others started experiencing it six months ago.
