MTN NINE LESSONS AND CAROLS SLATED THIS FRIDAY

MTN Ghana is expected to host a number personalities at this year's Festival of Nine Lessons and Carol's. The event which is taken place this Friday 20th December, 2019 at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Center will bring together MTN workers, customers and including MTN Republic, a special media group. The event will feature MTN Viva Voices, Winneba Youth Choir, Cina Soul, Eshun, Joe Mettle, Kelvyn Boy, Medikal and Kuami Eugene. PENTECOST UNIVERSITY WINS BEST COMMUNICATIONS SCHOOL AWARD

Pentecost University College (PUC) was adjudged the Best Private University for Communication Studies in Ghana for 2019 at the just ended 13th Annual PUSAG Congress held at the All Nations University College in Koforidua. The award is in recognition of the leading role PUC has played in the training of communication professionals for national development. According the Programme Manager for Communication, Dr. Albert Anani Bossman the recognition emphasizes the commitment of PUC to deliver the best graduates for both industry and academia. Banks to build credit profile of borrowers

Bank of Ghana, the regulator of the banking sector has announced that commercial and universal banks in the country will soon be required to build conduct profile of borrowers. According to the central bank, this formed part of a number of macro-prudential and market conduct regulatory measures to help boost credit to the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs). The First Deputy Governor of the central bank, Dr. Maxwell Opoku-Afari said the move by the central bank is also to foster more competition in the banking sector and in the process help under lending rates. At a 2-day training workshop organized by the Journalists for Business Advocacy (JBA) in partnership with the Ecobank Ghana held in Accra, Dr. Opoku-Afari said as a result of the measures, banks will be required to develop and publish a clear framework on the risk premium build-up that impacts on an individuals borrower's credit profile.
