CIMG to organize strategic marketing conference

The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) will organize this year’s Annual Strategic Marketing Conference at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.

According CIMG, the conference which takes place tomorrow Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October, 2015 is in pursuance of its mission to improve on the performance of marketers, professionals and administrators within Corporate Ghana.

The conference theme is based on this year’s Annual theme: “The Future of Marketing: Evolve or Die.” 

Mr. Kwabena Akuamoah Agyekum, an Executive Director at Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana told the Daily Express that the conference seeks to explore changing trends in marketing as a profession and our attempt to “crystal ball gaze” the marketing profession 10 years from now.

The Daily Express gathered that the conference is opened to all workers within the private and public sectors who are desirous of being a part of the convergence of great minds and to explore avenues for networking.

Branding Solution Providers, Marketing Agencies, Marketing analysts, Marketing Professionals, Marketing Technicians, CRM Professionals, Event Strategist, Marketing Metrics Analyst, CSR Analysts, and new Business Experts are expected to attend the conference.

He said four resource persons are billed to present papers over the two day event covering very exciting and insightful topics under the chairmanship of the Marketing Man and Woman for 2014, Mrs. Lucy Quist, Managing Director, Airtel Ghana Limited and Mr. Alhassan Andani, Managing Director of Stanbic Bank Ghana.

He mentioned that the four resource persons are Ms. Jebet Andamy, Country Manager, SCANAD Ghana; Ms, Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh, Country Manager, IBM Ghana; Isabel Boaten, Managing Partner- AB & David Law Firm; Mr. Gayheart Mensah, Head of External Affairs, Vodafone Ghana.

He said topics to be discuss at the conference includes the future of brands and brand experience; big data, insights, analytics and technology; trust/privacy and regulation; and sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

The Daily Express told that there will be exhibition stands at the conference for companies who want to advertise their goods and services.

ABL launches chibuku super in Bolgatanga

Mr. Thomas Nii Ponku, Supervisor in charge of Chibuku Super at ABL told Daily Express that the management decided to launch the Chibuku Super drink in the Upper East region because they’ve realized it is similar to a traditional drink in the region. “Chibuku is like a well developed pito, a traditional drink made from fermented millet or sorghum in the Northern part of Ghana. So the idea is to provide them with similar drink,” he added. Mr. Nii Ponku disclosed this when members of the Institute of Finance and Economic Journalists (IFEJ) toured the facility of ABL to acquaint themselves with the expansion project at the factory. Various barbering shops scattered across the country charges according to the location of the shop. The nature and sustainability of every barbering shop depends on the location of the shop.
