SUPERSPORT 9 (SS9) NOW ON GOtv PLUS

GOtv is excited to announce the addition of SuperSport 9 (SS9) which will go live on GOtv Plus channel 35 from Thursday, 13 August at 9:00a GMT.SuperSport 9 is the primary channel for African Football and offers a selection of sports content that covers athletics, Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC), Boxing, NBA and much more.

The move to introduce the popular channel is part of GOtv’s continuous efforts to bring viewers an exciting variety of sporting content to subscribers across the content. GOtv boasts an eclectic mix of sporting channels which include SuperSport Select 1, SuperSport Select 2 and Blitz Sport.

This August, GOgetters on the GOtv Plus bouquet can look forward to incredible sporting action, starting this weekend. All gloves are off on Friday 14 August; when Sijuta Promotions brings the WBA Bantamweight International Title Fight between Mzuvukile Magwaca (SA) and Jose Gonzalez (Mexico) at 5:00pm GMT.

GOgetter will also score big with a thrilling line-up of local football leagues action on SS9.  Catch Zesco United take on Nkana live in the MTN Zambian Football League at 12:55pm GMT on Saturday 15 August. The action continues at 3:00pm GMT when Bayelsa goes head to head with Enyimba in the Nigerian GLO Premier League.

GOtv will expose viewers to the Spanish city of Cadiz at 7:55pm GMT to catch the remaining two top teams dribble their way to win the coveted “Trophy of Trophies” (Ramon de Carranza trophy) at the 2015 Trofeo Carranza Final.

On Sunday, 16 August it’s back to Africa where viewers will be treated to back-to-back football with Zambia’s Power Dynamos taking on Nakambala Leopards while Nigeria’s Warri Wolvs will battle the Dolphins in the GLO Premier League.

ABL launches chibuku super in Bolgatanga

Mr. Thomas Nii Ponku, Supervisor in charge of Chibuku Super at ABL told Daily Express that the management decided to launch the Chibuku Super drink in the Upper East region because they’ve realized it is similar to a traditional drink in the region. “Chibuku is like a well developed pito, a traditional drink made from fermented millet or sorghum in the Northern part of Ghana. So the idea is to provide them with similar drink,” he added. Mr. Nii Ponku disclosed this when members of the Institute of Finance and Economic Journalists (IFEJ) toured the facility of ABL to acquaint themselves with the expansion project at the factory.
