Vodafone Ghana has announced that they have built some additional
new sites and upgraded some exiting sites in the Western region as part of its
massive network expansion work.
This is to improve the network quality and experience for
its customers in the region.
Vodafone customers living in and around Abosso, Mpintsin,
Kukuruku, Nsein, Tarkwa Atoabo and New Usiajo can now access Vodafone’s
unmatched voice and internet services.
Additionally, Vodafone customers in areas such as Essipong,
Anaji-Namibia, Nzulezo, Efuanta, Manso Amenfi, Wassa Akropong, Samreboi, Bawdie
and Sefwi Bekwai will also experience an improvement in Vodafone’s voice and
data quality as the telecommunications giant has upgraded its 2G sites within
these areas to 3G.
“The decision to add more new sites is to provide reliable,
sound and stable service to customers in the Western Region and to give value
for money” said Patricia Obo-Nai, Chief Technology Officer of Vodafone,“ adding
that ‘Vodafone has invested over 700 million dollars into expansion over the
years and this demonstrates our continuous commitment to ensuring quality
service to existing and new customers”.
The expansion will further enhance customer experience and
ensure an improved and seamless communication, which would also offer Vodafone consumer
and enterprise customers faster and better data and voice experience.
The expansion which begun in November 2013 will see the
deployment of a total of 403 coverage and capacity sites in other regions
across the country using the latest state of the art technologies by the end of
March 2014.
