Accident kills 12

Twelve people have died in a gory accident which occurred at Ankaase, near Osino in the Eastern Region in the early hours of Friday.

The accident occurred when two VIP passenger buses collided head-on around 1: 30 am.

One of the VIP buses which was travelling from Kumasi to Accra in an attempt to overtake a stationary cargo truck, collided with the bus traveling from Accra to Kumasi.

Confirming the incident to Citi News, Corporal Vincent Appiah of the Anyinam Police Station disclosed that 11 persons died on the spot while another passenger died while being conveyed to the hospital for treatment.

Several others are said to be in critical condition.
